Rob surprised me with the following bouquet on Saturday night, which I love. I'd way rather get a wildflower type bouquet than roses. Plus, it has Gerber Daisies - my favorite! Apparently the kids got it for me, but they were both at home with me while Rob was out getting it. Cute!
We didn't go to church. Still trying to keep Abbi from getting sick, so I just find when it involves one person going by themselves, its much less motivating to go. Heathens, I know!
In the afternoon, Ruth and Dave stopped by with some perennials that she had divided from her garden. Our front garden gets very little sun, so we need things that will grow happy in the shade. So we got the following plants: Elephant Ears, Ferns, Anemones (no, maybe not...its leaving me...), & Lily of the Valley. As well as some compost Ruth got from a school sale close to their house. We also planted some of the bulbs I got a few weeks ago. Hostas & Bleeding Heart. We technically aren't supposed to plant them yet (not before the frosts end), but I figure we'll be a little busy to be gardening in a few weeks. Hopefully they survive!
The verdict? Absolute junk! There should be a bylaw against people who have lame-o garage sales! A few trinkets, a couple old VHS tapes and some clothes straight out of the 80's in your garage is not worthy of being called a true garage sale. 5 garage sales later, and all I got was one white pot that was in the free pile in a back alley. Whew, talk about sad...
Anyway, that was the extent of my day. Nothing too fancy, but just right. I also had to include Gabe's 5 month pickysticky shots. Can't believe he is 5 months already! He's just started taking cereal this week. He seems to give the impression like "Why have you been holding out on me?" He eats it like a natural and is now trying to grab anything he can when it comes to food. Maybe we'll have to buy him a steak dinner for his 6 month birthday!
Oooh, fresh cup of coffee is up there for me too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mommy's Day! :)
