Happy Anniversary...to me!

This weekend marks our 6th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe its been that long, yet at the same time it nearly feels like forever. I'm getting to the point that I'm beginning to forget what my pre-marriage days were like. You know the ones, its all about me, me, and more me. Actually I can't say that I don't occasionally still have those days (Rob would testify to this fact), but I do find they happen less. Learning to live with another in harmony truly is one of the hardest things I've ever done.

I've always felt far too comfortable in my home, whether that be my parent's home or my husband's. I find its the place that I let my hair down, so to speak. This can be a good thing, but when I allow the "ugly" to ooze out, well, that's not so good. My Mom always used to ask me if I treated my friends the same way that I treated her in my sassy teenage years. At times I'm sure I did, but I do find, even now, after a rough day, Rob still gets the majority of the ugly. And sometimes it goes vice-versa. But as I like to say, amongst the ugly, there is always beauty. We've had some somewhat rough times, but all in all, I've enjoyed our 6 year adventure.

I often get so busy thinking about the future and what's to come, I often forget to enjoy where we've been. So this weekend we've been busy playing the "what were we doing 6 years ago?" game. I quite enjoy thinking about the fact that this afternoon we were loading up our 1995 Honda Civic, and preparing for our honeymoon road trip down the coast to California. Ahh, those were the days!

I wanted to share some of our beautiful wedding pictures. We seriously love our wedding photos.

Our lovely wedding party.

One of my favorite pictures of us. And I adore my bouquet.
One of my favorite pictures from the day, and one of my favorites of myself.
And finally, one of our favorites. Framed over our bed.
