Greenland Garden Centre

Last week I would call "my Christmas preparedness week." For the average person they would consider it Christmas overload, but for a Christmas lover such as myself, it really only whet my appetite! Lets see, it started with the Children's Heart Society Christmas Party on Saturday (pics still to come), then the Home's for the Holidays tour on the Sunday, the Ladies Greenland Garden Centre Night on Thursday, and finally, a lovely Christmas craft afternoon at my cousin Ruth's house on Saturday. Whew!

The ladies from our church took the evening off and headed out to Sherwood Park to Greenland Garden Centre. I had never been before, and that in itself really is a shame! Thankfully I've rectified the problem and intend to remedy it time and time again! It truly is worth the drive (although really it was only 15 minutes from my house). Not only is it a giant, beautiful nursery, but at Christmas time, they turn the entire facitility into a little piece of holiday heaven!

So this time, I was actually allowed to take pictures (yes, you know me, "Honest Holly," I asked for permission!). So here are just a few of the photos, and I would refer you to their website if you want any more information. Honestly, I promise you, it is totally worth your time to visit their nursery!

Now onto the pictures. And I just have to say to any of you Nanaimoites, it sure did remind me of The Quilted Duck, just 50 times bigger!

One of the displays near to the entrance. With a red theme.
Can someone add these gorgeous candle holders to my wish list?
I'm lovin' these skinny trees. I'd say mine's about a size 10, but this is like the petite size 2 kind of tree! Very cute!
A closer look. A birdhouse theme.
Now how on earth could you deny your backyard birdies a birdhouse as adorable as this?
I am in love with this entire display. Seriously.
I especially love these two giant apothecary jars.
Another fab display...
I can actually see this hanging above our bed. Or perhaps that's just wishful thinking?
I absolutely love this. It speaks to me, but I'm sure the price would definitely not speak to me!
I wish you could see this better, but its glass mosaic sign saying "Merry Christmas." Love!
Now we were getting into the country Christmas section. Very cute.
This little garden shed was all decked out for the holidays.
Tee hee!
Yup, these are most adorable!
Like I said...
These white Christmas trees seem to be all the rage.
Feeling the need for some "red" perhaps? Or heck, you name the color, they had it!
OK, so I had to take a picture of this because I'm guessing Santa is probably supposed to look like a cutesy pine cone thing, but I'm just seeing large fish. Trout? Salmon? Something, but definitely not Santa!
I'm kind of liking all the frou frou atop the trees.
The quintessential Canadian Santa - who needs reindeer...get a canoe!
"Laaaaa"
Need a wreath, a tree, greenery? You name it, they had it. Love the square pine cone wreath!
It was a nice time out with some of the ladies from my church. Not only did we get to shop, but we also got to visit and enjoy some delicious desserts. Does it get any better?

PS. I'm in the middle of working on a potentially fabulous Christmas Nepper's Landing giveaway. I'm hoping to reveal it soon. Stay tuned (although don't worry, I plan to run it for at least a week to give people time to enter!).
