Gabe turns 1!!!

I can barely believe our little Bubba Chubba Boo Boo turns one year old today! As I write, I'm glad to report I'm not currently in labour (as I was precisely one year ago). I think at this point I would have been in excruciating amounts of pain and pushing out this little bundle. Oh the joys! He was born at 9:57pm on December 10th, 2008. So I'm sure you can see why blogging seems like a much lovelier option! Oh right, crazy pain = baby. Hmm, well, currently I'll take blogging, although yes, the pain is most definitely worth it to see your little Bubba at the end of it all.

Anyway, I thought I would share Gabe's pickysticky pictures that we took over his first 12 months. Now I will admit, I'm feeling like a fairly awful Mother because I missed month's 10 & 11, but I still was taking plenty of pictures, just not with the stickers on. I'm sure Gabe will have second child syndrome from situations such as this, but I'll come back at him with something like, "Well, your sister didn't even have pickysticky pictures...so there!" That probably still won't convince him though, as I still tease my Mother about the photo album after photo album of my sister, Shannon, and the perhaps one or two of me...sigh. Those poor second children. At least they are better off than middle children. Now that could be a whole blog post in itself!

He got some ice cream cake after a spaghetti birthday dinner. Definitely an ooey gooey mess. Mom wised up though and let him eat it topless, with a warm bath waiting in the wings!
Wow, a year has gone by, and this kid is such a bundle of joy! Now don't get me wrong, there have been many long nights, and many incidences where I have wanted to pull my hair out, but I can say, I would take those any day to have this little man in my life! He has been such a blessing to our little family and we wouldn't trade him for anything.
