Secret Santa

Every year, my Mom's side of the family does a Secret Santa gift exchange. Now as we are all getting older, and having wee ones, it seems we all want to be the one to arrange it. So this year I was lucky enough to get to do the deed.

Basically the only rules are a $30 gift limit, and you need to provide around 5 items to give your Secret Santa a little variety. I will admit in the most recent years, many of us have moved towards gift cards, partially because they are just plain easier, and they ship pretty cheap!

So here are some pictures from Mommy and Abbi organizing the Secret Santa exchange of 2009!

First things first...a most delicious glass of eggnog!

Next the names of all the particpants.
A cute, willing, little helper...
Put all the names inside the hat - er, I mean the large ceramic Santa!
Finally have most adorable child pick names out of the ceramic Santa, and record the order they come out in. And no Mom, I did not rig it this year!
There you have it folks. Its just that easy! I think its a super fun way to stay somewhat connected with your extended family, and share some Christmas cheer!
