The Letter

I know I posted a picture of the letter my birth Mother wrote to me, but I couldn't figure out how to make the picture bigger in order for people to read it better, so I'll just type out what it says.

I'm thinking she might have taken up a career at Hallmark or Carlton. Its pretty good stuff! Maybe get a box of tissue...

To: My Daughter

I have written this letter so that you will understand my reasoning for doing what I have done. It is very important to me, for you to know that I have loved you from even before you were born. Please try and understand I was only fifteen when I had you, I had no way of supporting you, or giving you half the things every mother would want to give to her child.
It took me many nights of heart-breaking thoughts, to finally reason with myself that I was doing what was best for you. The reason that I chose your Mother and your Father for your parents, was they were two people, who wanted to share their love for each other, and with a child of their own. They could provide ideal family life, since they were married, and they could support you.
When I first found out I was going to have a baby, I started taking care of myself. I did this because I loved you, and I wanted to give you the best start in life. Please understand that your parents love you very much, and I wouldn't have chosen them for you if they hadn't been the best.

Deep in my heart, I'll always love my little girl. I'll never forget how painful it was, giving you up for adoption, because you were the only thing in my life I would ever love.

Mom.

  1. Thank you for posting this. It is so personal and I didn't know you ever had it.

Any luck in finding her yet?
