On the Tuesday we decided it was a good idea for another beach day. Well, no I guess it was me more concerned with "fixing" my bad tan from the time prior. I had two strap lines on my arms, and it just wouldn't do. So off we went. And voila, mission accomplished, I now have a much better, even tan.

Gabe and Jeff checking each other over (I love Gabe's little muscle shirt!)
The group eating our delicious dinner. Their yard has been incredibly landscaped!
The next day we took pretty easy. Nothing too busy taking place, which was a nice rest from all the busyness. I did manage to get out to Delicados to pick up lunch for everyone. A trip to the Island is not complete without a trip there. Its like Southwest Mexi type restaurant. So delicious! Why, oh, why has someone not opened one up in Edmonton?
That night we went to another awesome BBQ (it must be summer!) at the Hocker's house. It was really fun catching up with them, and showing off Gabe. It was another 30+ night and we were all melting, but really enjoyed the company.
They have a little Pug named Sawyer. For some reason he must have caught Abbi off guard, so she was quite timid around this little Pug (which is rather hilarious). So she insisted on being carried everywhere in their house. From the table to the couch. The couch to the table. One couch to another. The couch to the door. Oy!

The next day we stopped over for a "cuppa" with the Dockerill's (this is how Loraine put it). I have to admit, we were expecting a quick cup of coffee, but we were pleasantly surprised with a lunch out at Moxie's. Their daughter Carley was also able to come and we were able to meet her daughter. It was so nice to catch up with them.
We always say that getting together with the Dockerill's is like coming home for us. We were both part of a life group in their home for many years, and we have many fond memories of Thursday nights at their house. It would be 10:00pm and you couldn't believe you'd been there for 3 hours and still wanted to stay longer. Hospitality truly is their gifting.
They both played a huge role in our spiritual walk, and in a sense were our Christian parent's. A trip to the Island is never complete without a visit with the Docky's.

Loraine up to her old tricks. "Hanging up" Robert. Abbi thought this was hilarious!

Well, hopefully I can get my final part in by the end of the week. It seems like blogging has been on the backburner, and so it should be technically. I have a lot of things on the horizon, which I know will officially put my blogging on the back burner. I'll be posting about these up and coming developments soon. Until then, you can enjoy my hit and miss posting ;)
