Price My Space Party

The Nester is hosting a party, and well, I love parties, especially when I don't have to host them!
(*If you read my last post about Abbi's 3 year old birthday party I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. Its Sunday afternoon and I'm still fairly exhausted from the birthday extravaganza, which was on Friday, whew!)

So a blogger party sounds just right. The idea is that we can share a room or a piece that we got. It could have been terribly expensive, or an incredible deal. Generally in my world its an incredible deal.

The room I plan to feature...
Really, is there any question? Yup, you guessed it, Abbi's room!

Its the one room I would say is mostly complete, and we all love it! Its turned out great, with the help of some hard work and some great bargain hunting by yours truly.

We'll start as you enter the room. The first thing you see is a piece of artwork made by my dear friend Sarah. She made this for me for my 21st birthday. The verse is from Romans. I love it, and it looks great in Abbi's room.
Cost: $0
This adorable border was in the house when we bought it. The walls were originally a pale blue, but I just think a purple looks so much better.
Cost: $32.97 at Home Depot.
The color is
Pixie Violet by Behr. 620B-4.
This is Abbi's closet. The mill work was all there when we bought the house, and we love it.
So much detail, and so perfect for a little girl's room.
Cost: $0

These flower shaped knobs are adorable. They were also there when we bought with the house. Cost: $0.

The built in closet organizer, which Mr. N and I made. We only had to pay for one piece of the shelving, the rest of it was free. You can read the entire closet organizer story here.
Cost: $9.76 at Rona
The dressers (including the one in the closet):
Cost: $20 at a garage sale. IKEA.
The mirror was from my cousin's house.
Cost: $0
This bed canopy is so adorable. Abbi loves it, and it adds so much to her room.
Cost: $10 on kijiji. Marshmallow.
The bed is a twin size.
Cost: $17 on kijiji. IKEA Malm.
The quilt over Abbi's headboard was made by her Gammy, as well as the little pillow. The colors go great with her room. Her Grandma also made her a little purple pansy quit, so we can switch them out as we please.
Cost: $0*
*Although hours of love and hard work went into it, so it is priceless).
Abbi's little book area.
Cost: $19.99. IKEA (Can't find the make).
This adorable little flower nightlight my cousin brought back from a trip down to the States.
Cost: $0. Pottery Barn Kids - Abby Flower Nightlight
Abbi's desk area. I don't have much going on with it yet, but I can see some adorable little modge-podged organizers. It was given to us by our neighbors.
Cost: $0
"Second star on the right, straight on 'til morning" sign I picked up at Value Village.
Its made by Twelve Timbers.
Cost: $6.99

The basket beside the desk is filled with all of Abbi's dress up clothes.
This was also from my cousin's house.
Cost: $0

This small polka dot painting we picked up at a local art walk. It was made by a girl who used to rent the basement of the house where we rented the upper floor. I think it will look really cute framed up somewhere in Abbi's room.
Cost: $5. Michelaine.
Abbi's Room Grand Total: $121.71

  12. OHHHH, I just LOVE the bed canopy. I had bunks as a child, and I always wanted a canopy bed. (Didn't even get it as an adult.) That is so the kind of bed I'd love to have for my daughter when she graduates to a big-girl bed. (We are still 18mos in a crib...I think she is going to have a hard time giving up the crib though.) So cute. And I like the wall boarder. And...I like your daughter's name because it is my name too. :) Great job. Abbie
