New Thrift Shop Alert!!!

OK, OK, I get its a little hardcore to post twice in one day, but I just had to share these awesome deals I got this morning. Plus, my first post was written at like 6:10am. Gabe apparently wasn't very interested in sleeping past 5:30am. Ouch! Coffee here I come!

Today I checked out a new thrift store in town called Harbour 4 Life. The address is 9238 34 Street here in Edmonton. The store has only been open for 3 weeks, so I found it to be fairly disorganized as of yet, but I think in time the store will start getting more organized (I hope!). I think they've had such a huge response in such a short time they are a bit overwhelmed.

The best part? Its Buy By the pound. Meaning, all clothing items are $1.99 per pound. Do you even understand how many pieces of kid's clothing makes up a pound? Plus, on Mondays and Tuesdays its 50% off! So today I totally got some great deals, and I definitely plan to return. I believe they are using the funds to support an orphanage in Africa (Rwanda, I think). You also get a tax receipt for items donated (30 cents per pound). So all around pretty good deals.

This is what I got for my whopping grand total of $7.96:
Size 9 Sandals (Abbi)
3x Denim Skirt (Abbi)
Size 4 Jeans (Abbi)
3x Dora Shirt (Abbi, obviously!)
3x Princess Dress (Abbi)
2 Summer hats (Abbi & Gabe)
Misc. infant clothing
Giraffe stuffed animal (Gabe)
Magnet toy (Abbi, and apparently Rob)
Beading set
Paper Towel Holder
Red star ornament
4 most hideous dishes (Stay tuned for the reveal in the coming weeks)
The princess dress. Isn't it gorgeous? I'm sure this was a flower girl dress. And it definitely didn't cost less than $1!
The disgruntled princess in her princess dress...
This "smile" is from me bargaining - "If you smile for a picture you can watch your movie."
This is what I got...sigh...
Anyway, all you Edmontonians looking for a good deal, check this place out. You can google Harbour 4 Life and get more information about who they are and their hours.
